Exterior 200

245V,50Hz; Natural color;included Lamp; 60 degree field angle

The Exterior 200 is a conveniently compact and powerful, short throw, CMY color changer designed for outdoor use

Housed in a beautifully designed weatherproof casing, the Exterior 200’s asymmetrical wide throw flood beam makes it perfect for applications where projection distance is limited.

Extremely versatile, the Exterior 200 can be tucked discreetly into architectural design details of buildings or any other illumination structure. And an IP 65 rating means the Exterior 200 can withstand even the toughest outdoor conditions. A built-in light sensor, memory presets and DMX controllability add to its independent functionality.

Created as an economical alternative to the Martin Exterior 600, the Exterior 200 incorporates many of the same useful features such as full-range continuous dimming. The Exterior 200 also incorporates a manual beam-shaping function and is the perfect complement to the long throw characteristics of the Exterior 600. A convection cooling system ensures silent and trouble-free use for indoor applications as well.

Sample project specification

General
The luminaire shall be an automated color-changing washlight designed for fixed exterior installation. It shall employ a 150 watt discharge lamp as the light source.

Mechanical effects
The luminaire shall provide subtractive CMY color mixing using gradated, dichroic glass cyan, magenta, and yellow color filters. The intensity of the light shall be continuously adjustable by means of a mechanical dimmer that dims from 0 to 100% without loss of color temperature.

Control
The luminaire shall respond to the USITT DMX512 protocol and shall use 7 control channels. The color mixing and dimming fade speed shall be controlled, at the operator's option, via the cross-fade function of the control desk or a programmable speed value.

The luminaire shall be capable of stand-alone operation in which it executes defined or random color changes at programmable intervals and speeds. It shall provide a built-in 24-hour real-time clock and an ambient light-level sensor for control of operation start and stop times and/or light levels.

Performance
The luminaire shall be capable of emitting a total luminous flux of 4,515 lumens in a beam 61° wide, where the outside edge of the beam is defined as the circle having one-tenth the intensity of the beam´s midpoint.

Housing
The luminaire shall have an extruded and anodized aluminum housing and an anti-reflection coated front glass of 6 mm thickness. The housing shall be convection cooled, with the power supply and electronics section heat separated from the lamp and mechanics section. It shall be weather resistant, ingress protection class IP 65.

Installation
The luminaire shall operate in any orientation. It shall be supplied with a non-detachable mounting bracket that allows the luminaire manually to be tilted from +/- 140° in the vertical plane and swiveled +/- 45° in the horizontal plane. The mounting bracket shall be of 8 mm anodized aluminum, and shall provide 3 holes for 12 mm (1/2 in.) mounting hardware, spaced 100mm on center, and 2 quarter-circle slots with a center radius of 26.5 mm for 8 mm (5/16 in.) mounting hardware.

Electrical
The luminaire shall provide settings for operation on 50 and 60 Hz supplies at 195, 210, 225, 245, and 277 volts. It shall be fitted with a 1.8 meter length of electrical cable for connection to AC power. The luminaire shall be electrically grounded. The luminaire shall conform to CE safety standards EN 60598-1 and EN 60598-2-17, and to CE electromagnetic compatibility standards EN 50 081-1 and EN 50 082-1. The luminaire shall be cETL certified for compliance with CSA standard C22.2 No. 166, and ETL certified for compliance with ANSI/UL standard 1573. (Certification pending.)

Environmental
The luminaire shall operate in ventilated areas at temperatures not to exceed 40° C (104° F).
